![]() I also found a web site where some folks had found that the auto transmission cooler which is located in the bottom tank of the main radiator sits across the main header outlet and may be blocking the flow of coolant. I guess the point of my story is keep looking for the simple classic answer. ![]() Temp moves up slightly as the thermostat opens as one would expect.Īs a result of this I had many expensive repairs done - head removed twice, water pump, thermostate, fan clutch re greased etc. Once properly serviced all has been ok - although have not driven thru a summer yet but have tackled some steep uphill sections and all appears ok. On removal and tanks removed it was found to be 45% blocked. ![]() It appears that only one was done, as the main radiator is difficult to remove and was simply flushed out not removed and fully serviced. According to a "reputable" car repair business both ratiators were removed and serviced. Dear 1kz-te motor owners - my overheating problem has been solved.
